GENIUS II Shaver Blades - reusable thanks to a validated reprocessing

The GENIUS Shaver Blades from KOMET MEDICAL are a valuable addition to your Stryker® 12K, Linvatec®, FMS®, Smith & Nephew®, Dyonics EP1 or Aesculap® power system. GENIUS Shaver Blades are suited for various applications in orthopaedics:

• knee,
• shoulder,
• elbow,
• hand and foot arthroscopy.

The different tips of our Shaver Blades allow both, the preparation of soft tissues like bursae or tenacious cartilages and meniscus. In contrast, our cutters are exclusively designed for the treatment of bones, for example to carry out a decompression in the shoulder.

On the basis of our philosophy to offer reusable instruments, our Shaver Blades are delivered in unsterile condition and must therefore run through the whole reprocessing cycle to make them sterile for surgery. However, thanks to the special construction of our Shaver Blades and the carefully selected material it is possible to reprocess them on the basis of a validated cleaning, disinfection and sterilization method so that they can be used for the next surgical operation (please refer to the manufacturer's information on validated reprocessing under "Instrument reprocessing"). Inspection of the blades and concentricity should be clearly kept in mind as these features are decisive for a successful operation. Only instruments in perfect technical condition achieve optimal results!
